Note there are several types of semen extenders which contain
ingredients that suppress the motility of the sperm even under ideal
conditions. To gain any idea of diluted
semen motility in the laboratory it may be necessary to use caffeine coated
slides.
Typical extenders which suppress sperm motility are Andrahep or Modex.
