Batch Farrowing Place
Defining the batch
A batch of pigs is defined as “the events and outcomes resulting from the matings occurring from a group (batch) of females (sows and gilts)” over a predetermined time period. The aim is to achieve all-in/all-out.
This would include the matings, farrowing, weaning, and slaughter values from this "batch".
What is the timing of the batch?
Note in this spreadsheet if the batch will not work biologically there will be no result
The impact of the spread of matings extends across the rest of the farm and will be examined in more detail in each section.
Once the batch time is defined - the various future events can be predicted.
